JAMB Change of Course, Institution, and Data Correction Guidelines for 2025/2026

The Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB wishes to inform the general public and all UTME and Direct Entry candidates that the JAMB Correction of Data Portal is now open for 2025/2026 admission process.

All candidates who wish to effect changes on either their course institution or their biodata can proceed to do so at the closest JAMB CBT accredited centre.

JAMB Correction of Data 2025/2026

2023 JAMB Correction of Data/Changes includes the following listed below.

1. Gender Correction – Available [can only be done once]

2. Choice of Institution/Course Correction – Available [can only be done twice with separate payments]

3. Names Correction – Available [can only be done once]

4. Date of Birth Correction – Available [can only be done once]

5. Passport Photograph Correction – Not Available [Option Only Available During UTME Registration]

6. UTME Subjects Correction – Not Available [Option Only Available During UTME Registration]

7. Email Address Correction – Not Available [Option Only Available During UTME Registration]

8. State/LGA Correction – Not Available [Option Only Available During UTME Registration]

How Much Is JAMB Correction of Data?

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N2,500) as the Price for 2025 UTME correction Of Data.

1. Gender Correction – Price: ₦2,500
Candidates can request for change of Gender. Supporting documents may be required. An indemnity form will be downloaded, printed, filled and submitted at Candidates Institution for Approval.

2. Change of Course/Institution – Price: ₦2,500
This allows for candidates to request for change of course or Institution.

3. Correction of Names – Price: ₦2,500
This allows candidates to request for amendment of names e.g. Surname, First name or Last name.

4. Correction of Date of Birth – Price: ₦2,500
Candidates can request for amendment of Date of birth. Supporting documents may be required. An indemnity form will be downloaded, printed, filled and submitted at Candidates Institution for Approval.

Before you proceed to do that, please make sure you do the following:

1. Be sure of the Course/Institution you would like to make changes. Verify if the course is available in the school using the Jamb Brochure.

2. Ensure that the school you are changing to does not usually have a cut off mark higher than your score.

3. Ensure you select a Course/Institution that is in line with your subject combination to avoid being screened out during your school’s admission screening exercise.

1. JAMB profile Email and Password.

2. JAMB Registration Number.

3. Phone Number.

How To Apply for JAMB Correction of Data 2025

The official JAMB Portal for correction of data is https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/

Concerned applicants should proceed to an accredited CBT centre or JAMB officefor further directives and changes.

Process Flow for 2025 JAMB Change of Course, Institution and Date Correction

1. Log into your JAMB profile

2. Open the menu tab on your JAMB profile

3. Click Register, under register a drop box will appear showing UTME correction of data

4. Click it and follow the steps to pay either online or bank. You can make your payment online via JAMB portal.

5. If you are having difficulties doing that, you can pay to the bank.

6. After paying N2,500 at the bank plus additional bank charge of N100 naira, proceed to either the closest JAMB office or a JAMB accredited centre to complete the process. An additional fee will be charged for the service.

UTME STUDENTS:
The Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB has warned all UTME Candidates not to apply for a change of institution and change of course to institutions that have already done their Post UTME or Concluded their admission process.

DIRECT ENTRY STUDENTS:
All Direct Entry Candidates with correction of data issues should confirm that their indemnity form is sent to the nearest JAMB office.
